200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

An 8 weekend Yoga Immersion & Retreat

August 5 - November 18, 2021

Welcome to Back Pocket Yoga Studios

Our founder, Sariah Bastian, offers peace, safety and love everywhere she goes. In the small town of Lehi, Utah, she now offers a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training.

Held at Back Pocket Yoga Studios and led by Sariah Bastian and her small team, this eight-weekend immersive training is designed to fully prepare you to reach deep into your core and offer healing through the words of your heart and your own personal experience. Guidance is given as you search. Space is held as you unravel. Breath is collaborated in unison to create harmony in your inner and outer world. This is not just a yoga teacher training, this is you illuminating: YOU.

Our RYS 200 offers the elevated requirements of Yoga Alliance. You will dive deep into yoga postures and the emotional status each body shape makes, anatomy and physiology, yoga humanities, sequencing, professional essentials, and much more. Upon completion and passing of all examinations, you will receive a Back Pocket Yoga Studios 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certificate, allowing you to register with globally recognized Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200.

It is a beautiful journey that allows you to deepen your relationship with your Self, and allow your students to heal themselves through their own movement and breath.

IS THIS COURSE ONLY FOR WOMEN WHO WANT TO TEACH?

No. You do not have to want to teach yoga to take this training. And, you don't have to be a women! The asana (pose) part is such a small part. We spend the majority of our time talking about you and your body. The more you know about you, the more you will be able to show up in your life. You showing up in life, is what we all need and benefit from.

WILL I HAVE TO TEACH YOGA IN ORDER TO GRADUATE?

Yes, in order to receive your certification, you do need to teach a number of classes. I guarantee you the confidence, knowledge, and ability to be able to do this. If you don't ever want to teach after those classes, you don't have to!

DOES THE TRAINING COVER AND INCLUDE BEING ABLE TO TEACH BEYOND BREATH?

No, this training is to teach you how to teach YOUR yoga. There is No Box and this training is all about finding your authentic you. The exploration of yourself is done in a way that you will show up with your voice, from your knowledge and your experiences. The world needs you and this training allows you to find that.

Back Pocket Yoga's TT teaches you Hatha, Vinyasa, and Power sequencing. You will also get a taste of Yin, Pranayama and Meditation.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE AN EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND IN YOGA TO DO THIS TRAINING?

No! You can come in to this training knowing nothing about yoga. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to be vulnerable and you are set. Don't worry, I'll make a teacher out of you, yet.

WILL I BE CERTIFIED TO TEACH AFTER THE COURSE IS COMPLETED?

As soon as all of the requirements are complete, you will be certified to teach. Some students complete all of their teaching hours before the course ends, and some take a little longer. Whenever you are done with all necessary requirements, simply reach out to Sariah and she will get you your certificate which allows you to teach anywhere!

By the end of this training you will know how to teach 100+ postures, theme a class, adjust students with safety, the anatomy & physiology of the body, an understanding of yogic traditions and texts, and sequencing different formats and classes.

We certainly are!
